In the early to mid 1290s Marco Polo’s journals show that he visited India and Burma in search of rare exotic spices that he could return to Europe with. He returned to Venice in 1295. This is the earliest historical record of the fusion of Indian and Mediterranean cuisine.

My name is Ashwani and I am the owner of Mark's Ooh La La Yum in 
Norwood, New Jersey. The only Mediterranean Indian fusion restaurant in the area,I previously worked in the fashion industry, traveling the world looking for the next big styles. On my travels, I have always had a love for trying and the foods that I love so much.

My vision is to introduce and educate my guests with my unique style of custom cooking. Every dish is as individual as the guest enjoying it, completely tailored to their taste. I want to show you how the two cultures and cuisine meet.
